Christmas Wish List
Each year, beginning in September, Big Family of Michigan collaborates with Michigan Foster Agencies to collect “Christmas Wish Lists” from foster children, including their clothing sizes and Christmas Wishes.
Volunteers work to fill Christmas Bags with a coat, hat, scarf, gloves, and 7 items from each child’s Wish List. Each gift is wrapped individually and placed in a large Christmas Bag. The Foster Agencies collect the Christmas Bags and coordinate with Foster Parents and Grandparents to ensure timely pickup for Christmas.
Donations are received throughout the year and stored in our Warehouse. In July, Big Family posts a list of items needed to fill our Christmas Bag, along with a list of items not needed.
The following items are ALWAYS NEEDED:
- Coats
- Blankets
- Footballs
- Soccer Balls
- Basketballs
- Volleyballs

Please call our office (586) 415-6968 before dropping off donations to ensure that our Staff is available to assist you.
