Jennifer Hichme, M.D.

Dr. Jennifer Hichme has been a family medicine physician in Sterling Heights, Michigan, since 1999.

She was honored to have Jeanne Fowler, the founder of Big Family of Michigan, as a patient and was deeply inspired by her work.

In tribute to Jeanne’s legacy, Dr. Hichme joined the Big Family of Michigan Board of Directors to help continue the Mission of supporting Foster Children in need through the State of Michigan.

John Meeseeman

John Meesseman – Corporate Liaison

John Meesseman is the President of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Kee Realty. With a passion for servant leadership, he has guided the company’s successful operation of 12 offices and the growth of a dynamic team of nearly 500 agents across Metro Detroit.

John holds a Business Administration degree from Walsh College. His wife, Debbie, manages the company’s Mortgage Division and Accounting Department. Outside of work, John enjoys boating, golfing, concerts, and sporting events.

Theresa Jones

Theresa Jones – Community Liaison

Theresa Jones and her husband, Frank, have owned and operated their family business, “Ultra Floors,” since 1993. She supervises sales, customer service, and public relations.

Theresa has a passion for helping not only her customers, but she has a special place in
her heart for helping children. Theresa respectfully accepted the position of one of the Board Members of the Big Family of Michigan.

She loves her family and feels so blessed to have her 3 children, their spouses, and 8 grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Theresa is also a proud member of the Divine Mercy Prayer Ministry. She is especially grateful for this opportunity because it is such an important, meaningful cause. She will utilize her skillset to help make a positive change in the lives of others and influence others to be the change they want to see in the world.

Chris Loria

Chris Loria – Community Liaison

Chris has a Bachelors in Electronic Engineering, Masters in Teaching and is an Educational Specialist in Administration. He taught in elementary and secondary educational settings. He was a middle school Assistant Principal for several years and an elementary Principal for eight years.

He served as a Superintendent for 8 years of a K-12 public school district with a student body of 3,000. In those years, he arranged student exchanges with Italy, China, Germany and Spain.

Currently Chris is retired from education and sits on several Non-Profit Boards. He has worked with service organizations such as C.A.R.E., Macomb County Youth Home, St. Clair County Youth Services and Families Against Narcotics.

Chris has been married to Elizabeth for 36 years. They have a daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter.
