Aging Out Program
In the State of Michigan, young adults “Age Out” of Foster Care between the ages of 17 and 21. Michigan Foster Agencies complete an Aging Out Request Form, checking off the items needed by the young adult who is moving into a College Dorm, Apartment, or House.
Big Family of Michigan provides NEW items for these young adults.
We accept donations of NEW items for this program. Our Warehouse is open Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 1 pm.

Bedroom – Blanket, Quilt, Comforter, Mattress Pad, Pillow, Sheet Sets (Bed Sizes – Twin, Twin XLong, Full, Queen, King)
Bathroom – Bath Towels, Hand Towels, Wash Cloths, Bathmat, Shower Curtain, Liner, Rug, Soap Dish & Accessories, Waste Basket
Kitchen – Dish Towels & Cloths, Dish Set, Glasses, Silverware, Silverware Tray, Serving Bowls, Kitchen Knives, Steak Knives, Salt & Pepper Shakers, Measuring Cups/Spoons, Coffee Pot, Toaster, Pots & Pans, Cook Book, Bakeware, Utensils, Crock Pot, Plastic Food Storage Containers, Chopping Board
Miscellaneous – Desk Lamp, Toiletries for Women, Toiletries for Men, Cleaning Items, Cleaning Caddy, Laundry Basket, Suitcase, Alarm Clock
Please call our office (586) 415-6968 before dropping off items to ensure that our Warehouse Staff is available to accept your donation.
